Published April 6, 2008

MANCHESTER, NH (BRAIN)—Six more retailers have signed on with The Biking Solution in recent weeks as the company continues to expand since relaxing membership requirements last year.

The new locations are: Conte’s Bicycle and Fitness Equipment in Conyers, Georgia; McLain Cycle & Fitness in Traverse City and Cadillac, Michigan; Santos Bike Shop in The Village, Florida; Wheels In Motion in Dallas; Radsport Outfitters in Chester, Connecticut; Skirack in Burlington, Vermont; Papa Wheelies Bicycle Shop in Portsmouth, New Hampshire; and Back Bay Bicycles in Boston.

“We were extremely pleased with the quality of retailers we welcomed to TBS in the fall and winter, and we’re very excited to see that trend continuing in the early stages of 2008, not only with new members but also current members opening new branches,” said Greg Brodsky, managing director of The Biking Solution.

“The response to our programs has been fantastic, and we’re hopeful that the enthusiasm we’re seeing will lead to continued growth in new markets over the coming months.”

The Biking Solution launched in 2003 to Giant retailers to provide operational, advertising and training services to help retailers boost profitability. According to the company, its members grow 30 percent quicker than non-members.

Last year, the company opened its program to all specialty bike retailers.
