Devinci launches US demo program

Published April 22, 2015

CHICOUTIMI, Quebec (BRAIN) — Devinci is starting a demo program for U.S. dealers out of the Northwest. The Canadian bike brand based in Chicoutimi, Quebec, and its sales agent, Evergreen Sports Group, are investing in a demo fleet and van that will attend mountain bike events and festivals from April through October, as well as visit bike dealers in the Northwest to offer demos.

"We knew we needed a demo program," said David Régnier-Bourque, marketing manager for Devinci at Sea Otter last week. "We've done a great job of marketing the brand, but for consumers to try our bikes, it's complicated. For dealers it's hard to invest in a demo fleet. We have a strong dealer network in the Northwest and our rep was ready to invest with us. The goal is to grow and expand the demo program outside of the Northwest."

The demo van, driven by veteran road warrior Ryan "Verg" Vergeront who previously headed the West demo tour for Diamondback Bicycles, will go to events and races in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana as well as select events in Colorado and Utah. It will also be at the Interbike OutDoor Demo.

The trailer is outfitted mostly with Devinci's mountain bike line including the Troy trail bike and Spartan enduro bike. But it will also have a few of Devinci's other models including its downhill rig, the Wilson, and even a couple of pavement bikes such as the Tosca 'cross bike and its urban/city bike, the Newton.
