BPSA selects three new board members

BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — John Munhall of Giant Bicycle, Larry Pizzi of Currie Technologies and BRAIN publisher Megan Tompkins are the newest members of the Bicycle Product Suppliers Association's board of directors.

Tompkins was elected to the BPSA Board at the April membership meeting at the 2014 Bicycle Leadership Conference. She will chair the BLC planning committee. Tompkins is a former board member of the Outdoor Industries Women's Coalition.

Pizzi, Currie Tech's president, was elected in late June. Pizzi's industry background goes back to his retail days at Bike Tech in Philadelphia and includes stints with Service Cycle, Bell Sports, Schwinn/GT and Brunswick. He also serves on the board of the Light Electric Vehicle Association.

Munhall, the director of product management at Giant Bicycle, was elected in late June. His history in the bicycle industry dates to the BMX track and bicycle retail. Munhall was a small-business owner before returning to the bicycle industry in the late '90s. He has been with Giant for the past 10 years.

Departing BPSA board members are Chris Speyer of Accell Group and Elysa Walk of Giant.
