Blue supports veterans with trade-in program

Published May 27, 2014

WILMINGTON, Del. (BRAIN) — Blue Bicycles is supporting Team Red White & Blue, a U.S. veterans program with special bike pricing and a trade-in program.

For the month of June, Blue will take $1,000 off any Triad or AC1SL bicycle and $650 off any non-SL bicycle with the trade-in of a used bike, which will be donated to Team RWB.

"Our goal is simple. In addition to getting people on a new Blue Bicycle, we want to encourage our customers to donate their current bikes to a worthy cause, Team RWB, and give back to members who have served our nation" said Steven Harad, CEO of Blue Bicycles. "For years I've been working with veterans to get them involved in cycling and this program will help provide bicycles to those who need them."

"The program is easy, any bicycle that was purchased from 2005 – 2014 and has an original MSRP of $1,000 or more, can be traded in at any participating Blue Bicycle dealer. Our Blue dealers will fully tune and clean the bike and ship it at no-charge to Team RWB for use by a vet," said Daniel Stallings, Blue Bicycles sales manager and sponsorship coordinator. "We look forward to supporting a lot of vets with the trade-ins and our dealers are excited to be a part of this unique program."
