Maier joins board of Colorado IMBA chapter

Published April 23, 2014

BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — Industry veteran Bruno Maier, currently president of Boulder-based car-rack manufacturer RockyMounts, has joined the board of directors of the Colorado Mountain Bike Association (COMBA), a chapter of the International Mountain Bicycling Association.

"I was both honored and excited to join the COMBA board because I believe that investing in bicycle advocacy is the most effective way to get more people on bikes," Maier said. "Bikes have been a hugely influential part of my life as long as I can remember, and have given me so much both personally and professionally. I feel like this is an excellent opportunity to give something back and solidify my — and RockyMounts' — commitment to two wheels."

Maier has more than two decades of industry experience, including stints at Huffy Bicycle Co., Brunswick Bicycles and Cycling Sports Group/Pacific Cycle and, most recently, PeopleForBikes, where he served as senior vice president for the nonprofit.

"COMBA is excited to have Bruno join our board of directors," said COMBA president Kristy Kibler. "He brings a wealth of experience and depth of knowledge to the board. I am confident Bruno will be a leader in bringing better mountain biking to Colorado."
