ORANGE, Calif. (BRAIN) — With the goal of getting more women on bikes, Leigh Donovan has announced partnerships with Liv/Giant, SRAM, RockShox, Troy Lee Designs, CamelBak and KINDbar to launch her bike skills clinic business, ichoosebikes.com.

A former world mountain bike champion, nine-time U.S. national champion and BMX Hall of Famer, Donovan will work with race promoters to offer free fundamental skills clinics across the U.S. and internationally. In collaboration with Mammoth Mountain resort in Southern California, Donovan will co-host a first-ever women's event this summer, July 23-26.

"I have known Leigh Donovan for over 20 years, beginning in the early days of her MTB career, with downhill and dual slalom—an event I created here in Mammoth in '86," said Bill Cockroft, a Mountain Bike Hall of Fame inductee. "To have Leigh come back to Mammoth and partner with us for mountain bike camps is such an honor, and we are excited for her to be part of the Mammoth Team. I am looking forward to this year's camp and the many to follow in the future."

Following a 10-year hiatus from racing and the industry, Donovan worked for Interbike from February 2012 until July 2013.

Donovan's 2014 events and clinics are listed on her website, www.ichoosebikes.com.
