Published December 11, 2013

SANTA CRUZ, CA (BRAIN) — Marilyn Price, the founder of Trips for Kids, has been named an ambassador for the Juliana Bicycles brand, the women's line of mountain bikes launched by Santa Cruz Bicycles last summer.

Price, a member of the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame, pioneered the use of the mountain bike to help at-risk youth overcome life challenges with her founding of Trips for Kids, an international non-profit organization for underserved youth.

"For years I have admired Marilyn for her work with Trips for Kids," said Juliana Furtado, a former world champion racer who spearheaded the new product line. "The mountain bike ride and bicycle training programs offer kids profound experiences and moments of self discovery that can help tip the balance to a healthy and productive life. I support Trips for Kids and welcome Marilyn to the Juliana family."
