SRAM bolsters OEM sales team

Published August 8, 2013

CHICAGO, IL (BRAIN) — SRAM has added two new members to its North American OEM sales team.  Bicycle industry veteran Rick Wilks joins SRAM as a senior OEM account manager and Alex Berge joins SRAM as an OEM account manager.

Wilks brings experience from both an OE and brand perspective. He helped build Easton’s OE program and worked within FSA. “I have always had a deep respect for SRAM’s team, products and involvement in advocacy. I am honored to join their team and to be a part of their continued success,” he said.

Berge joins SRAM from QBP, where he worked extensively with the SRAM family of brands as the QBP SRAM sales manager.

SRAM OEM sales manager Adam Feltz said, “We’re extremely excited to have both Rick and Alex join our team in time for the [2015 model year] OEM selling effort. The varied experience both of these gentlemen bring to SRAM is incredible. Rick is familiar with SRAM from a competitor’s perspective and we look forward to him applying his experience in OEM sales and utilizing his relationships with bicycle brands to further SRAM’s OEM growth. Alex is familiar with the whole of SRAM’s product portfolio and how independent bicycle retailers buy, stock and sell SRAM.”

Wilks and Berge will be based in Chicago, working out of SRAM’s global headquarters.
