DENVER, CO (BRAIN) — Descente North America has hired several independent sales reps to represent its cycling division in North America.

“Having a presence in the North American cycle market has been a top priority for Descente,” said Nori Higuchi, the president of Descente North America. “It is a market with significant potential for our brand and we are committed to investing the time and resources needed to accomplish our mission for Descente-branded cycling apparel.”

Ted Schweitzer, principal of the Q–Factor sales agency, will cover the greater Chicago area and a broader area including St. Louis and parts of Wisconsin. Also on board are Jean Marc Emard for the province of Quebec; Kim Youngren for the Rocky Mountain region; Tom Delaney for the state of Texas; Doug Ritter for Arizona; the Mansfield Group to cover the entire Southeast; and Jeffery Winnick for New England.

Hugh Walton, assistant manager of Descente’s Cycling Division, said, ”We have made significant strides in building a powerful and effective sales force to represent Descente throughout North America. We still need to fill some open territories, including all of California and the important Mid-Atlantic States. We are also seeking help in Minnesota. We expect to have all territories fully represented by Interbike.”
