VISTA, CA (BRAIN)—Endurance sports brand Zoot Sports has named Erik Vervloet vice president and general manager.
Vervloet has worked as vice president of sports marketing for K-Swiss, where he helped launch the running category, and most recently as chief marketing officer for the World Triathlon Corp., the entity behind the Ironman, Ironman 70.3, Iron Girl and IronKids brands.
Zoot Sports, distributed in 22 countries, is known for its triathlon-specific footwear line as well as wetsuits, compression products and performance wear for triathletes. Now the brand is looking to extend its reach beyond the triathlete community and serve everyday runners, cyclists and swimmers.
“Triathlon has always driven innovation,” Vervloet said. “I’m excited to take that momentum beyond race day to support athletes across the globe in their everyday training needs.”
