"It was truly a tough decision to leave. I truly do love this company," VanEnkevort told BRAIN Thursday. He said it was his decision to leave the company and he will announce next week where he will go. He said he will stay in the bike industry.

"Our program and sales are good, so I feel it's a good time to leave," he added.

"It has been my great pleasure to lead this company, and I want to thank both Claudio Marra (Managing Director of FSA, s.r.l. in Busnago Italy), and our factory, Tien Hsin Industries, for their support and tutelage. Their strong work ethic and intelligent innovation will continue to make the bicycle industry a better and more exciting place. I would also like to thank our customers. Working with you has made my job a pleasure, and I wish you all the best.”

Rick Wilks and Herbert Tai will co-manage FSA in the U.S. market.

Wilks will be in charge of sales and operations, while Herbert takes on product development. FSA has sent out letters to its key customers announcing the changes.
