Distribution Update: Big Shot Bikes, Prologo

Published November 17, 2011

FORT COLLINS, CO (BRAIN)—Korean fixie fans can get their hands on Big Shot Bike’s colorful, Colorado-designed bicycles at local shops thanks to a distribution deal with Seoul-based GMS International Corp., the Fort Collins company’s first international distributor.

“GMS is a well-established distributor in the Korean market, with relationships with a large number of shops throughout the country,” said Jason Jones, Big Shot Bikes sales manager. “This deal will allow us to take advantage of the growing South Korean demand, as well as raise our international presence.”

Big Shot is also seeking distributors in other international markets.

GMS distributes to more than 200 independent bicycle retailers throughout South Korea, and it will offer a line of six Big Shot single-speed bike models. Big Shot aims to have its first container arrive in Korea early in 2012.

Prologo Changes U.S. Distribution

CAVENAGO DI BRIANZA, Italy (BRAIN)—Prologo has changed distributors in the U.S. The Italian saddle supplier has ended its partnership with Sports Multiplied and will be distributed through QBP and Security Bicycle Accessories as of the New Year. In the mean time, questions can be directed to Prologo headquarters in Italy at info@prologotouch.com or +39 02 95019335.

Prologo had been with Sports Multiplied, a small distributor of high-end brands based in Carlsbad, California, since July 2010. Previously, Prologo distribution was handled by the now-defunct Veltec Sports.
