Blueseventy Brings On New Executive

Published November 14, 2011

SEATTLE, WA (BRAIN)—Blueseventy, leading supplier of open water and triathlon wetsuits, has hired John Duquette as country head for North America.

Duquette previously worked for the company from 2007 through 2010 before joining the sales team at Orca for the 2011 season.

“We’re very pleased to have John back on the blueseventy team,” said CEO Tim Moxey, who came back to lead the company 10 months ago. “He played a critical role in the growth and success of our brand when he was with us and we see his experience and leadership as a tremendous asset as we look to take blueseventy to the next level.”

As country manager Duquette will be responsible for all aspects of functions including sales, logistics, finances and the day to day operations of the business.

“I’m really excited about this opportunity,” Duquette said. “Blueseventy is known for making the fastest and most technical wetsuits in the industry and our 2012 suit range continues that tradition. The addition of our new triathlon clothing range and our continually strong presence in competitive swimming puts our company in a great position to solidify our name as the premier brand for triathletes and competitive swimmers.”

Duquette has been in the running and triathlon industry since 2000 when he worked at Seattle’s Super Jock and Jill. He is a former USA Triathlon All American and has completed the Hawiian Ironman World Championships three times.
