State Bicycle Co. Expands Concept Stores

Published November 12, 2011

TEMPE, AZ (BRAIN)—State Bicycle Co. has opened two more concept shops in Denver, Colorado and Campbell, California. The fixed-gear and single-speed brand opened its first concept store in Hollywood, California, and last month unveiled a new U.S. dealer program.

State Bicycle Co., headquartered in Tempe, Arizona, will primarily sell its own products and accessories within its new concept shop locations. The company started as an online-only business.

Each model offered by State Bicycle Co. is only available in the market for a limited amount of time, roughly three months to one year. Then the model is "retired", taken off the market and eventually discontinued, before new and fresh models are released in their place.

"At State Bicycle, we have a respect of the ride and of the sport, which demands that we listen to our customers. We began to notice they wanted another way to shop; a place to see, feel and test ride our products. In response to this trend, we decided to open our first concept store,” said Reza Farsi, co-founder of State Bicycle Co, in a press release. “We are excited to open more concept shops throughout the U.S., as well as to continue our growth with independent dealers."
