PALO ALTO, CA (BRAIN)—Vendor-Link Cycling (VLC), the business intelligence solutions company for the cycling industry, announced that the Action Sports Division of Easton-Bell Sports (EBS) will be using VLC to improve dealer service as well as planning and forecasting.

The brands using VLC will be Giro Cycling, Bell Bike, Easton Cycling and Blackburn. With VLC, EBS Action Sports will have access to real-time sell-through and inventory data of their products from dealer accounts. EBS Action Sports reps will be able to help bike retailers reduce lost sales with smarter inventory planning and speedier fulfillment.

“In this competitive retail environment, it is more important than ever to have real-time market data so that our sales force and product and supply chain teams can make market-based decisions that will benefit consumers and our retail partners,” said Bernie Doering, SVP of global sales for EBS Action Sports. “VLC provides us with a solution that is both comprehensive and user friendly.”

Bike retailers enrolled with VLC can now get more from their suppliers to improve their profitability. With greater insight into real-time demand, suppliers can help reduce retailers’ costly stock-outs and respond better to market conditions. VLC offers enrolled bike dealers immediate access to the Retailer Dashboard allowing them to compare their gross profit and margin performance to other retailers nationally.

Raz Alon, CEO of Vendor-Link Cycling said, “All of the industry suppliers we spoke to are eager to have deeper insight to actual, real-time sell through and inventory data. They all speak about the opportunity for the sales teams to be more effective and helpful to dealers and also able to plan, forecast and fulfill significantly better than they have in the past.”
