Scott Sports Appoints Two Regional Managers

Published February 1, 2011

SUN VALLEY, ID (BRAIN)—Scott Sports has changed its U.S. bicycle sales structure, adding two new regional managers. The new structure streamlines the previous three-region management system into just East and West regions.

Terry Duran, national sales manager for Scott Sports USA, has appointed Brian Bohlman to the East region while Doug Looney has been hired to manage the West region. Bohlman was promoted from account manager in the Mid-Atlantic, and Looney has now rejoined Scott Sports after a brief hiatus.

“This new structure will allow us to be more efficient in managing individual account managers in the U.S.,” Duran said. “It made sense to split the country into two regions after my promotion to national sales manager rather than hire a new manager for the Southeast. It’s more consolidation of resources, and the strategy will provide monetary savings as well.”

Bohlman said of the changes, “I am excited for the opportunity to be a part of the team that helps this brand get to the next level, and I look forward to working with all our East Coast Scott dealers.”

"I am thrilled to be back at Scott Sports,” Looney said. “It is an exciting time for the company. Things have come a long way for the bike division of Scott Sports and the future looks brighter still."
