Published January 19, 2011

GREENVILLE, SC (BRAIN)—Hincapie Sportswear has hired Chris Morgan and John Huenink (pictured) as sales representatives in strategic markets.

Morgan and Huenink will represent Hincapie for retail cycling apparel and accessory sales to independent bicycle dealers and sell Hincapie custom cycling clothing to clubs and teams in their respective territories, according to a press release.

“We are really focusing on increasing our retail distribution this year,” said Lynn Joslin, Hincapie Sportswear national sales manager. “We are growing retail sales and improving our dealer service by hiring sales reps in strategic territories throughout the U.S. We expect our growth to continue as we build our team. Chris and John are all well established in their territories, and they have hit the ground running. We still have some important territories open like Southern California, New York, New Jersey and Maryland, but we’re working hard to fill those vacancies. We’re entering 2011 with strong momentum, and we’re looking forward to a great year.”

Morgan will represent Hincapie in Florida, Alabama and Georgia. Morgan has spent 22 years in the industry on every level from individual bicycle dealer sales to manufacturer representative. Following his deployment in Iraq with the U.S. Army in 2003 and 2004, Morgan signed on as a factory sales and service rep for Cervelo in the Southeast. This has helped him build quality relationships with many dealers in his area. He will draw on his life-long passion for the sport and his professional experience on the IBD level to grow Hincapie sales in his territory. In addition to selling Hincapie, Morgan will continue to represent Cervelo and Rotor.

Dealers in Florida, Alabama and Georgia are encouraged to contact Morgan directly at (772) 418-5677 or cmorgan@hincapiesports.com. Dealers can also contact Hincapie Sportswear at (866) 359-4796.

Huenink will represent Hincapie in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois. Huenink has 16 years of industry experience and he’s pedaled everything from BMX to road bikes. He spent eight years owning and operating a road and triathlon shop, so he’s very familiar with the challenges facing today’s bicycle dealers. He will draw on this valuable experience to expand existing relationships and develop new ones as he grows Hincapie business in his territory. In addition to Hincapie, Huenink will also continue to represent BMC, Bonk Breaker, Vittoria Cycling Shoes and Bicycle Fit Studio.

Dealers in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois are encouraged to contact Huenink directly at (262) 391-7877 or jhuenink@hincapiesports.com. Dealers can also contact Hincapie Sportswear at (866) 359-4796.
