CORTEZ, CO (BRAIN)—Osprey Packs has added Katie Koppenhafer and Chris Horton to the Osprey customer service team.

“We are thrilled to welcome Chris and Katie to the Osprey team,” said Eric Triplett, customer service manager at Osprey. “They both bring a wealth of experience in sales and consumer relations and possess a passion for Osprey and the outdoors that will serve them well in their new roles. They will be key players in servicing our end-user customer and Osprey retail dealer needs. We are very fortunate to have them both join the Osprey family.”

Previous to joining Osprey, Koppenhafer worked extensively in the real estate field with both RE/MAX and her own real estate company. She has also served as a sales representative for the Handleman Company and worked extensively with Kaiser Permanente.

A longtime resident of Southwest Colorado, Koppenhafer is a passionate outdoor enthusiast and enjoys endurance mountain biking events, snowboarding and camping.

Horton comes to Osprey with over 10 years of outdoor industry and retail experience, most recently as retail supervisor at REI, Sacramento. He has served in various roles at REI with stints at REI, Denver and REI, Hillsboro, OR, and served as the snow sports department manager at MC Sports in Michigan.

Horton enjoys competitive cycling in all forms, along with backpacking and backcountry skiing. This winter, when he’s not pedaling his bike to and from work he’ll be training for his summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro next February.

"This is a great opportunity for us to work with a brilliant, fun and dedicated team while servicing customer/dealer needs and selling a terrific product line which we really believe in,” said Horton. “We look forward to applying our knowledge, experience and passion for the outdoors to the growth of Osprey Packs, and plan to hit the ground running."
