Mercury Adds U.S. Sales Reps

Published November 15, 2010

OXFORD, MS (BRAIN)—Mercury Bicycle Company has added new sales reps in the United States.

John O’Brien, WA and OR rep, is relatively new to the industry but brings 20-plus years of experience in high-end wine and spirits distribution. Shops on the northwest coast can rely on O'Brien for his expertise in wheels and wine.

Michael Musil comes to Mercury to support IL, OH, IN and MI. Musil is the founder of Podium Sports Group and has over 15 years sales experience in the cycling industry, including work with American Classic and Cervelo.

On the east coast, Keith Murphy now represents PA and western NY. Murphy has extensive experience in outside sales, including his current work with Masi.

Sunshine Scott Crowell supports the state of FL and will be making visits to shops across the state. Murphy also serves as the president of the Firefighters Cycling Association.

"As we work to build out the Mercury sales staff, we want to hear from our customers on what’s missing and what you need," said Mike Hickey, Mercury national sales manager. “If your area is not currently covered or if you have a sales rep that you would like to recommend, let us know.”

Matt Sodnicar joined Mercury earlier in 2010, representing Colorado and Utah.
