On The Edge to Distribute Enve

Published October 22, 2010

OGDEN, UT, (BRAIN)—Enve Composites is a new distribution partner in Canada with On The Edge based in Quebec City.

“We’ve been looking for a hands-on partner for a while now,” said VP global sales and marketing, Beverly Lucas. “We wanted to find a partner who really understands the core of the Canadian cycling community not least because we are such a bricks and mortar oriented company. It’s about investment in the future of the brand and the future of the sport; and that has to be with bona fide bike shops. We needed to find a very focused partner who truly understood our passion for hands-on growth, and JP and his team at On The Edge checked all the boxes.”

Jean-Pierre Theriault, director of sales and marketing for On The Edge agreed. “We’ve been watching Enve for some time now and seen the demand for superior technical products growing in Canada. Consumers and dealers are ready for something different and Enve technology on the road and in mountain biking is only getting stronger. We felt we had to get involved with these guys, not least for the present quality of their products; but also because we wanted to have our dealers be a part of something really amazing in the future.”

Lucas added that the company’s recent name change and partnership with Simon Smart has seen a big rise in interest from Canadian shops. “It was pretty inevitable that we’d see a bunch of interest, if only from sheer curiosity; but certainly the demand in North America as a whole has been growing to the extent it was an absolute necessity to have a good, solid ground support crew in place for the 2011 season. Enve and On The Edge are a good fit for each other professionally and I reckon we’ll have a great time working with them and their dealers. We couldn’t ask for much more than that.”
