Electra Hires Pippin as Product Manager

VISTA, CA (BRAIN)—Electra Bicycle Company has hired Mark Pippin as product manager. Pippin will oversee product development for all current and future bicycle collections.

"With an impressive global product development career spanning several decades, Pippin brings a new level of technical expertise to Electra,” said Skip Hess, CEO of Electra Bicycle Company. “His well-rounded background and industry knowledge will help lead Electra’s product development strategy.”

Pippin, a 26-year veteran of the bicycle industry, brings extensive product development, design and sales experience to Electra. After four years in the BMX industry, Pippin was hired as assistant product manager at Giant Bicycles, where he focused on high-end MTB and juvenile bikes and helped grow Giant sales in the U.S. six-fold in four years. In 1992, Pippin moved to product development at Schwinn Bicycle Company, where he was awarded three patents for bicycle designs and technologies. Pippin then worked at SRAM Corporation in Taiwan, where he led a group of engineers and designers and gained invaluable global experience. Most recently, Pippin worked for Trek Bicycles, also in Taiwan, as the Bontrager components sourcing manager.
