GRENCHEN, Switzerland (BRAIN)—BMC Swiss Cycling Technology has teamed with CFEprPlus to increase the exposure and sales of their mountain bike product line.

"BMC's been speaking to me about helping them with the MTB side of their business for quite some time," said Steve Boehmke, president of CFEprPlus. "Everybody in the cycling industry knows that BMC makes unparalleled road bikes. What they don't know is that the BMC MTB range was the first to license the VPP system from Outland, and that their off-road bikes rival the best in the business.

"We're excited to have CFE's Boehmke come on board to help us on the MTB side," said Fabio Selig, general manager of BMC USA. "His wealth of knowledge, understanding of the MTB Market, and reputation as an inductee of the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame is second to none. We expect great things to line up for us as we come into the 2011 season, with acceptance at Interbike as a particular goal."

"I immediately had some huge ideas for BMC utilizing assets they already have," Boehmke said. "We'll see what we can pull off with the limited time-frame coming into the late MTB season."

BMC's stable of athletes includes former Mountain Bike Champion and current World Road Champion Cadel Evans and cycling superstar and US Champion George Hincapie.

"I've been testing the BMC SpeedFox, and it's suspension works better than anything I've ridden in the last few years," Boehmke said. "Product reviews have been stellar, so now we need to get the right dealers and athletes behind the program. I'm attending Lifeboat Solutions Dealer Camp in Park City this week to help with that program."
