DealerCamp Shaping Up Nicely

Published July 8, 2010

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA (BRAIN)—With three weeks to go until Lifeboat Event’s inaugural DealerCamp, final plans for the event are taking shape. This outdoor demo and expo event for bicycle suppliers and retailers—July 29–31 at Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah—promises to be an outstanding opportunity for quality interactions at a key point in the buying season.

DealerCamp will feature nearly 60 exhibiting bicycle industry brands, including new additions of Argon 18, BTI, Campagnolo Sportswear, Carnac, Charge, Cinelli, Commencal, Dainese, DeFeet, DeMarchi, Osprey Packs, Speedplay, Spenco Cycling Gloves, Stevens, Voodoo and Zoic, according to a press release.

Lance Donnell, president and CEO of Sinclair Imports, is very excited to bring his four exclusive brands to DealerCamp. “It is so important to reach dealers in the critical July/August period,” said Donnell. “This is when brands are being decided and budgets allocated. With DealerCamp, we get a chance to show many of the country’s best retailers some exciting new products and talk about working together before their ‘open to buy’ is soaked up by the big guys.”

One hundred lucky retail businesses will receive free lodging and a travel stipend to attend DealerCamp. Lifeboat Events has issued all subsidy invitations, choosing shops identified by exhibitors. Subsidized spots are available to these invited retailers on a first-come first-served basis.

At press time, fewer than 20 subsidized retail business spots remained.

All other qualified retailers are welcome to attend DealerCamp at their own expense. Already more than 200 retailers from across the nation are registered to attend DealerCamp.

Subsidized retail businesses will also receive a swag bag from Osprey Packs, the official courier bag provider for DealerCamp. Many exhibitors are contributing product for the bags, which will be jam-packed with goodies.

Several special events are planned during DealerCamp. The opening reception on July 29 will feature a live auction fundraiser spearheaded by Speedplay and benefiting the U.S. Bicycling Hall of Fame. In addition, QBP and NuVinci are planning evening networking events.

DealerCamp’s intimate format will allow suppliers and retailers to enjoy focused discussions while testing the latest equipment on epic roads and trails.

Lance Camisasca, president of Lifeboat Events, is enthusiastic about how the event is coming together. “We set out to create an event that serves the bicycle industry’s needs in a location that represents cycling,” said Camisasca. “Having just completed our PressCamp event in Deer Valley, we know that this area is perfect for this type of thing. The demo terrain is outstanding, the resort and Park City are welcoming us with open arms, and enthusiasm from the industry is tremendous. I cannot wait for DealerCamp. It is going to be awesome.”

Lifeboat Events also welcomes all qualified media to DealerCamp.
