Published June 17, 2010

ST. PAUL, MN (BRAIN)—Park Tool has picked the locations for its 2011 Tech Summits.

Locations and dates for the 2011 Tech Summits include: Philadelphia, PA (January 17, 18), Chicago, IL (January 24, 25) and Long Beach, CA (February 7, 8), according to a press release. FSA Components joins Campagnolo, Shimano, Fox Racing Shox, SRAM, Mavic, Rock Shox and Park Tool as presenters for 2011.

The Park Tool Tech Summit is a hands-on training event for professional bike shop mechanics. The teachers are the service experts from the top component brands in the world. Classes are designed to keep shop mechanics up to speed on servicing the latest technologies in the bicycle industry. Classrooms are fully equipped with the latest Park Tool products as well as new products from each manufacturer.

“The Tech Summits in Philadelphia and Chicago sold out each time we have been there,” said Bill Armas, Park Tool director of marketing. “Since we had such great response, we are going back to those cities for 2011.” With reference to Tech Summit’s newest site, Armas said, “Long Beach is a city committed to cycling and it offers a great downtown environment for our attendees.”

The registration fee for the event is $200 and includes instruction, handout materials, continental breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and a certificate of participation. There will also be a reception held on Monday night in each city featuring refreshments and prizes. Discounted hotel and parking rates have been negotiated for Tech Summit attendees.

Class sizes are limited and only professional mechanics will be admitted so early registration is recommended.
