Jenson USA Relocating in SoCal

Published February 24, 2010

ONTARIO, CA (BRAIN)—Jenson USA has relocated its headquarters and primary distribution center to the city of Riverside, California.

The new facility at 1615 Eastridge Avenue offers 73,000 square feet, a significant increase over Jenson USA’s existing Ontario facility (18,000 square feet) where it has operated for eight years. Jenson USA plans to relocate to the new location during April, 2010.

“We are firmly committed to serving the Inland Empire region” says Jenson USA president and CEO Mike Cachat. “Our purchase of this new location will allow us to dramatically expand our selection and better serve our customers."

Jenson USA undertook a rigorous selection process before deciding on Riverside, balancing their own unique business needs with those of their customer base, vendors and employees. Guidance from the Economic Development teams of both Riverside City and County was also carefully considered.

“Customers told us they wanted easier access to local mountain bike trails and a freeway-close location” says Justin Christopher, director of sales and marketing at Jenson USA. “We are so excited to relocate adjacent to Sycamore Canyon Park, and expect it to be visited frequently by both our employees and customers”.

“Bicycle Friendly” also played an important role as Jenson USA evaluated potential locations. One deciding factor was the recent certification of the city of Riverside as a Bicycle-Friendly Community (BFC) at the Bronze level by the League of American Bicyclists. “Riverside has shown a great commitment to growing cycling by investing in transportation infrastructure,” Cachat said. “We wanted to do business in the next decade in a community that shares our core values as a company, which includes bicycle friendly communities”.

In addition to the new facility in Riverside, Jenson USA will continue to operate an existing will-call center at its current Ontario location during a transition period; and operations will continue unchanged at their full-service superstore in Corona, California.
