Specialized Going Direct Down Under

MORGAN HILL, CA (BRAIN)—Starting with the 2011 model year, Specialized Bicycles will assume direct distribution to Australian and New Zealand markets in order to foster even stronger support for the regions’ independent dealers.

Specialized Australia and Specialized New Zealand will focus on strengthening the brand's relationships with independent dealers, providing them with the tools to succeed, and expanding personnel and resources to meet the regions’ needs.

Sheppard Industries Ltd. will continue to distribute Specialized 2010 Model Year product until August 31, 2010. Specialized will begin direct distribution of 2011 Model Year product starting May 1, 2010.

Specialized currently services several markets directly, including Italy, UK, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Nordic countries. With many years experience delivering to multi-lingual areas, they join these new regions with a proven track record for strong service and support. Specialized Australia and New Zealand dealers will have national and regional marketing and sales contacts.
