Attendees Praise Philly Park Tool Summit

Published January 13, 2010

PHILADELPHIA, PA (BRAIN)—The Philadelphia version of the Park Tool Tech Summit concluded yesterday in a buoyant atmosphere with strong words of praise from the mechanics in attendance.

Paul Watson from East Meadow Bikes said, “I am so bummed that I didn’t come last year. You have an attendee for as long as you put these on.”

“It’s the best thing that I’ve been to in this industry,” said David Barrow of Tolland Bicycle. “I would pay double to go. I will be here every year.”

The sold out clinics brought mechanics to Philadelphia from as far away as Florida to Quebec, Canada. Mechanics were able to get in-depth hands-on instruction on the latest technologies from the world’s top component manufacturers.

"I would highly recommend it to old school guys like myself or anyone who wants to learn,” said Marc Engel of Marty’s Reliable. “The hands-on instruction made me want to come back to the shop and get to work on this stuff."

The next stop for the Tech Summit is Chicago on January 18 and 19. That event is also sold out, but there is still room for interested mechanics at the San Jose Tech Summit on February 1 and 2.

Anyone interested in registering for the remaining spots available for San Jose should visit www.parktool.com/techsummit (click on link).
