Published September 27, 2009

LONDON, UK (BRIAN)—Factory Media and Dig BMX Magazine have added Scott Towne as U.S. advertising manager to the Dig staff. Towne will be responsible for U.S. ad sales for Dig BMX magazine and DIGBMX.com.

"We're very proud to have someone of Scott's pedigree involved. He is a more than welcome addition to the Dig staff," said Dig editor-in-chief and founder Will Smyth.

Based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Towne's history and experience in BMX magazine editorial spans over 20 years. Having started at BMX Plus!, Towne has also served as editor for Super BMX and Freestyle, and has contributed editorial to BMX Action, Freestylin' and more recently, Dig. In his spare time, Towne rides, digs at his own trails and still updates his long running Deliverance blog.

"It's a sign of Factory Media's commitment to the BMX market, ensuring we build an even bigger position in the U.S. for Dig, the world's premier international BMX title," said Factory Media director James Carter. "Scott Towne and Dig BMX will build a much closer relationship with the many companies wishing to be part of this hugely influential scene."
