Growth Cycle to Produce 2010 BLC

Published July 27, 2009

BOULDER, CO (BRAIN)—The 2010 Bicycle Leadership Conference (BLC) in Monterey, California, on April 13-15, produced and hosted by the Sea Otter Classic and presented by the Bicycle Product Suppliers Association (BPSA), will now be managed by Growth Cycle of Boulder, Colorado.

Growth Cycle president Ray Keener was a partner in the BLC management teams in 2005 and 2006. “We're planning some exciting content and speakers that will draw a broader supply-side audience and create even better networking opportunities,” Keener said.

“Our first BLC in conjunction with Sea Otter was an unqualified success,” said Frank Yohannan, Sea Otter president and chief executive officer. “With Ray’s involvement, a new host hotel, and expanded agenda appeal, we’re looking forward to another year of strong growth in 2010.”

John Nedeau, BPSA president, said, “With all the new challenges and opportunities facing our industry, it’s more important than ever that our leaders gather at the BLC to find creative solutions.”

The new host hotel for the BLC is the Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa, located on Cannery Row. This four-star property is one of the highest-rated resorts in the Monterey area. Expanded BRaINy awards, hosted by Bicycle Retailer & Industry News, will be presented during the conference.
