Gruppo Bici to Distribute Italian Mags

BOULDER, CO (BRAIN)—Gruppo Bici N.A. has signed an exclusive agreement with Compagnia Editoriale S.r.l. and La Cuba S.r.l. According to terms of the agreement, Gruppo Bici N.A. is now the exclusive importer, marketer and distributor of Bicisport, Cicloturismo, Cycling Pro, Il Giornale delle Gran Fondo, la Bicicletta, Mountain Bike Magazine and Mountain Bike World bicycling magazines in North America.

“We are delighted with the opportunity to distribute Compagnia Editoriale’s and La Cuba’s cycling periodicals in North America,” said company spokeswoman D’Abria Versace. “Putting these otherwise competing magazines under an umbrella is a win strategically; the economies gained enables Gruppo Bici to offer these important bicycling magazines to North America at an affordable price.”

Compagnia Editorale of Rome, Italy, is the publisher of Bicisport, Cicloturismo and Mountain Bike Magazine. Also from Rome, Italy, La Cuba S.r.l. publishes Cycling Pro, Il Giornale delle Gran Fondo, la Bicicletta and Mountain Bike World. All magazines are printed in Italiain and available as a single issue ($15) or annual subscription, saving readers 33.3 percent off the single issue price. Magazines are available starting with the April 2009 issue; 34 years of archives and Italian cycling books are also available.
