Published March 3, 2009

BOURNEMOUTH, UK (BRAIN)—Blackstone owned Center Parcs report that summer bookings are up 44 percent as more Brits seem to be choosing to vacation at home this year.

Center Parcs operates four holiday parks in the UK which collectively receive over a million guests a year. Bikes are an integral part of the holiday experience as the parks have a no car policy during the guests stay.

Center Parcs have just taken delivery of their latest shipment of Mongoose mountain, traditional and kids models from UK distributor Hotwheels.

“We’re proud to be associated with Center Parcs. Their environmental ethos is a good fit for us as a company and showcases the bicycle as a viable form of daily transport,” said Ian Wagman, business development manager for Hotwheels. “During our involvement with Center Parcs we have reduced their operational costs by delivering quality Cycles and have implemented new specifications that deliver Health and Safety benefits. The sheer volume of visitors gives huge exposure to the Mongoose brand.”
