First Titus Open House Draws Hundreds

Published February 9, 2009

TEMPE, AZ (BRAIN)—Titus Cycles held an inaugural Open House and Garage Sale last weekend with more than 500 attendees stopping by the new Titus headquarters to see their 2009 bikes.

Titus decided to start the event as a way to show off its new facility and showcase the new 2009 line, although in the end, the event turned out to be a great way to clear out old and discontinued inventory to consumers, and to gain better exposure with the local cycling scene.

Titus also partnered with local retailers like Rage Cycles and Bicycle Showcase to help promote the weekend's festivities and to add even more value to the Garage Sale offerings.

"We had people drive in all the way from Tucson and Flagstaff," said Pat Hus, chief executive officer for Titus. "We weren’t quite sure what kind of turnout we were going to see and we were pleasantly surprised by the turnout. We really had not done a Grand Opening and invited people to see our new facility so we were probably a little late in getting it done. Based on the success of our first event like this, we are considering taking the next open house up a notch and inviting even more participants."
