Van Haverbeke Joining Look Cycle

SAN JOSE, CA (BRAIN)—Look Cycle International has hired former Hutchinson general manager Eric Van Haverbeke as its new vice president of sales and marketing. He'll start his new position in January.

"I have found the challenge to join such a premium international brand as Look very exciting," Van Haverbeke said. "Among others, one of my main missions will be to be in charge of Look USA."

Van Haverbeke had been with Hutchinson for seven years.

"His position is a global one, but his experience with Hutchinson USA will be valuable to us especially," said Ming Tan, vice president of marketing and development for Look Cycle USA. "I know him from his days at Hutchinson, and he always showed a classy professionalism and business savvy that will help to make an easy transition from when Christophe Jouffret was in place previously."

Tan said Van Haverbeke already has a great grasp of the U.S. business and dealers.

"Everything is done here a little differently from in Europe, and our brand is less mature than it is in France specifically, so his understanding of that will definitely help us strategically plan for the future," Tan said. "I know he’ll bring some fresh ideas and perspective. Given the current state of the economy, we all need to work together and be smart about the growth strategy of Look here in the U.S."
