Trek Gets Bigger California R&D Facility

Published October 7, 2008

WATERLOO, WI (BRAIN)—Trek recently moved into a larger R&D facility outside of Valencia, California.

According to Trek MTB global brand manager Michael Browne, the new facility is "smaller than 100,000 square feet" in size.

That means tons of room for Trek director of suspension development Jose Gonzalez and Greg Buhl. The two had been working out of a facility opened two years ago when Gonzalez was hired by Trek from Manitou.

Having a R&D facility in California has "opened the door for better development," Browne said. "We can measure the performance of what we do."
