Valencia Hires For Renewed BMX Program

Published September 18, 2008

VALENCIA, CA (BRAIN)—Valencia Sports Group has hired industry veteran Brian Peterson to head up its rejuvenated BMX program and work in cycling sales.

“I am really impressed with what has been done so far,” Peterson said. “The product looks real good and I am looking forward to pushing all three brands to the head of the BMX market.”

Valencia, which owns the SixSixOne, Sunline, Royal, Tag and Filtron brands, has renewed its commitment to BMX racing by introducing a full line of new products under the SixSixOne, Sunline and Royal names.

New products include Sunline carbon fiber and aluminum forks, wheel sets, stems, and carbon fiber handlebars. The new BMX-specific pants, jerseys, and gloves will highlight the Royal BMX line and SixSixOne helmets, shoes, and protective gear will continue to be offered.

Valencia has also been working with Custom Cycle Supply to develop and market these products. Custom Cycle will be distributing all the new items, and the MCS Bicycles race team will use the new gear.

All SixSixOne, Sunline and Royal BMX products will be displayed at Interbike in the Valencia and Custom Cycle booths.
