The 5th Spot

Published June 18, 2008

A ceremony in honor of the late Clay Mankin, founder of City Cycle in San Francisco, is scheduled for Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Crissy Field Visitor Center.

A bike rack will be dedicated in Mankin's honor, followed by a group ride and pizza at City Cycle.

The widely beloved Mankin passed away from a heart attack in 2005, just shy of his 50th birthday.

Each year QBP gives an award named for Mankin to a retailer who makes significant contributions in advocacy.
