Maverick Hires New Vice President

Published February 12, 2008

BOULDER, CO (BRAIN)—Maverick has hired David Wisenteiner as vice president to help the suspension company grow its business.

“We found that trying to be intensely innovative and also sell stuff made it so we couldn’t focus on either,” said Paul Turner, president of Maverick. “So we’ve brought in Dave to help grow the business so that Frank and I can focus on some crazy new stuff.

“The Crankbrothers licensing agreement of the Speedball Seatpost made us realize that we have two ways to grow the quiver of patents that we have collected over the years while allowing the bike business to grow wings and take off, which it has been aching to do for years,” Turner added.

To help set Maverick down this path, Maverick recruited Wisenteiner, who prior to joining Maverick was instrumental in using his Fortune 500 background to help with Ellsworth’s recent successes in sales, marketing and customer service. He will focus Maverick’s resources around, dramatically improving its dealer support system and increasing the dealer network.
