BH Bikes, Pivot Cycles Hire Industry Vets

Published October 16, 2007

TEMPE, AZ (BRAIN)—BH USA and Pivot Cycles hired industry veterans Adam Vincent and Rob Aguero to its fast-growing team. The two previously worked together with John Bradley, the company’s national sales manager.

“We’re getting the band back together,” said Vincent, the company’s new marketing manager and salesman. “This is a great opportunity for me to put my marketing experience to work. Building two new companies is an incredibly exciting challenge, and I couldn’t be happier about it."

Vincent joins Pivot and BH from Maverick Bikes where he was sales manager. Prior to that, he spent three years in sales and marketing with Orbea USA and three years as associate editor of Bicycle Retailer & Industry News. He has more than a dozen years in the industry.

Aguero joins the company as sales manager. He previously worked in sales for Gita Sports and Orbea USA. He got his start in the industry at Wheels in Motion in Dallas, Texas.

“I’m excited to be working with Adam and John again. I have the utmost respect for Chris and he has put together one of the strongest teams in the industry. It has been a long time since a bike company has generated this much buzz,” Aguero said.

Pivot Cycles was recently launched by mountain bike pioneer Chris Cocalis, who started his first bike company 17 years ago. Cocalis is also partnering with Spanish bike maker BH, to form BH USA. The two brands will operate under one roof in Tempe, Arizona but will have different branding strategies. BH is already shipping bikes to retailers and Pivot will begin shipping its new designs in November.
