NASHVILLE, TN (BRAIN) — Tucker & Bloom, a Nashville-based commuter and travel baggage maker, has signed Groundswell PR to head up their public relations efforts. Groundswell PR will handle all media relations, brand communications and social media outreach.

The World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry, which represents the bike industry to the UCI and the International Olympic Committee, will hold a public meeting at the Taipei Cycle Show this month.

BURNABY, BC, Canada (BRAIN) — Sugoi has been named the "Official Performance Apparel" for the Ironman triathlons in North America and Europe.

The clothing brand, owned by Dorel Industries, has reached a three-year agreement with Ironman, said Sugoi president Kyle Weiner.

WASHINGTON, DC (BRAIN) — The League of American Bicyclists is supporting a program to encourage women to ride in Washington, DC, with a $15,000 grant.

The League is announcing the grant for the Women & Bicycle program, on the eve of the National Women's Bicycling Forum held here on Monday.

DENVER, CO (BRAIN) — A record 200 exhibitors showed their wares at the North American Handmade Bicycle Show this weekend, and attendance was strong Friday and Saturday before being dampened somewhat by a strong snowstorm Sunday.
