Kali introduces new enduro helmet with low density EPS foam

Published January 20, 2015

MORGAN HILL, Calif. (BRAIN) — Kali Protective has launched a new enduro helmet using multi-density EPS, including a softer density foam around the head.

The company said the new Maya helmet model uses the lowest density EPS it has ever used — around 70 grams per cubic liter. Typically helmets use a density of 100-120 grams per liter. Kali said the lighter foam dissipates impacts faster and more efficiently.

The Maya also has an integrated camera and light mount and a break resistant moto-style visor. Other features include an antimicrobial liner with bug netting, Kali's floating dual closure system for easy adjustments, and 12 vents with internal channeling. It weighs 350 grams.

Available in S/M and M/L sizes in three colors.

MSRP: $100.
