Tern offers Perch wall mount for bikes

Published June 9, 2014

TAIPEI, Taiwan (BRAIN) — Tern is now offering the Tern Perch wall mount, for storing bikes inside a house or apartment.

“As cycling takes root in the urban lifestyle, intelligent bike storage solutions are increasingly important,” said Dwight Jurling, director of global marketing at Tern. “The Perch saves space and gets your bike out of the hallway — a big help for people who don’t have garages and live in small apartments.”

The Perch is manufactured from 5052 aluminum plate with a matte, sandblast finish. It supports bikes up to 18 kg (40 pounds) with handlebars up to 640 mm wide. Rubberized grips hold the seat tube or seatpost while gravity keeps the bike in place. Slots permit attaching a lock, helmet and clothing.

The Perch's vertical orientation accommodates bikes without a horizontal top tube. The Perch comes with full mounting hardware for wood and concrete walls.

MSRP: $70.
