Sampson offers new road pedal, the Fondo

Published September 11, 2013

DENVER, CO (BRAIN) — Sampson Sports' new Fondo pedals were developed to provide ease of use and high-performance.

The pedals feature a large shoe/pedal contact area for comfort, a very thin profile with chamfered outer edge for added cornering clearance, and a cold-forged and CNC-finished axle that spins on a sealed bearing system.  The pedals weigh 143 grams each.

The pedals feature Sampson's new GripStrip. If you fail to enter the pedal successfully on first try, the GripStrip grabs the cleat so you can pedal through the intersection confidently.  The Fondo has its own recessed cleat and also is compatible with Shimano SPD cleats.  They have adjustable entry and release tension and an alloy body that is open to allow mud and debris to pass through.

They will be available starting Sept. 15 from Sampson. MSRP is $99.  For more information contact Sampson at 303-691-5650.
