Timbuk2 extends distribution contracts in Korea and Japan

Published November 11, 2014

SAN FRANCISCO (BRAIN) — Timbuk2 has extended its current contracts with its Korean and Japanese distributors, Anvil SNH Co. and Itochu Fashion System, respectively.

"Anvil has embraced our consumer-centric approach and brought our brand to market in much the same way we do in the US: through Timbuk2 mono-brand stores, multi-brand stores, wholesale and online," said Timbuk2's international sales director Nicole Chabot. "We are excited to further our partnership with Anvil as they have proven keen insight into the forward-looking, youthful, and creative market emerging in Korea."

As one of the brand's first international markets, Timbuk2 has been available in Japan for ten years. Itochu Fashion System, a leading fashion lifestyle branding company, has expanded the brand representation among their strong partnerships with Japanese retailers. They also launched timbuk2.jp with a focus on sharing brand content with Japanese consumers and offering the latest products.

"Our approach in each market is differentiated based on their individual dynamics, but our brand remains consistent as an original San Francisco company offering authenticity, innovation and quality available to consumers through branded retail, online and specialty retail," said Chabot.
