SOFIA, Bulgaria (BRAIN) — WTB has hired Nikolay Titev, who will augment WTB Europe's sales staff, managing Southeastern Europe's aftermarket as well as OEM sales. Titev is based in Bulgaria.
"Adding a well-respected professional like Nikolay to our team will help support our expanding European sales, and increase brand awareness in a region with a high concentration of bike assemblers," said Lorenzo Parini, WTB Europe's sales director.
Titev was a professional downhill racer from 2001 to 2006 and was once the Bulgarian downhill champion. He still occasionally competes in local races though has shifted his focus to enduro riding.
"I am pleased to be working with a company steeped in trail passion and mountain biking history. Southeastern Europe, and particularly Bulgaria, is an area wrought with mountains and a perfect fit for WTB. The cycling industry is rapidly expanding here and I couldn't be more excited for the future," said Titev.
Titev founded Ram Bikes more than 10 years ago and more recently founded Invert Ltd., a Bulgarian-based distribution company that he will continue to operate.
