Chain Reaction Cycles Opening Storefront

Published March 31, 2011

BELFAST, Ireland (BRAIN)—Longtime etailer Chain Reaction Cycles is set to open the company's first standalone storefront later this year, according to UK's Bike Radar website.

Chain Reaction said that it will stock much of the same product as one would find on their website, according to Bike Radar.

"This is an incredibly exciting time for us, transferring our years of knowledge, buying power and service to the high street environment," said Jim Berkeley, head of retail for Chain Reaction, to Bike Radar. "We can’t wait to offer customers—both new and existing—a high quality face-to-face service which will mirror the high level of support we currently provide our online customers."

Chain Reaction Cycles was recently at the center of some controversy when a group of Spanish dealers posted an open letter to the industry asking that suppliers cut ties with the Ireland-based etailer, deeming what they believe to be unfair selling practices and pricing policies.
