BTI's 20th catalog, with new brands, hitting stores

Published February 6, 2013

SANTA FE, NM (BRAIN) — Retailers this week are receiving Bicycle Technologies International's 20th anniversary parts and accessories catalog. To mark the anniversary, the cover features 20 years of BTI cover art, highlighting how far the company has come from since its first 24 page back and white booklet published in 1993.

This year's catalog has grown to 1,216 pages and includes 300 brands.

New brands for BTI this year include: 100% Goggles, 3LC.TV, Bionicon, Braap Energy Bars, Budnitz, Cardo Communicatoins, Cleatskins, Deuter Packs, Fairdale, Glacier Glove, Kool Kovers, Knog, Moment Industries, Oculus, Red Bull Media House, RockyMounts, Selle San Marco, SunRace, Tate Labs, Ten-97, Vredestein, Wahoo Fitness and WD-40 Bike.

BTI said the new catalog offers greater category support for 27.5 inch (650b), BMX, electronic accessories and fatbikes. BTI  has implemented the S.H.I.S (Standard Headset Identification System) throughout its entire inventory of headsets.

BTI is less than two months away from consolidating its three warehouses into one larger distribution center in Santa Fe.  BTI vice president Preston Martin said the company chose to go counter to the trend of distributors adding more regional warehouses. "While other distributors are opening regional warehouses, BTI is focused on optimizing inventory fill-rate and improving our speed of delivery from a single location. Dealers can expect a more complete order, faster," he said.
